ARTIST
Born in Latvia, Vera was immersed in the arts from an early age, training in classical ballet and graduating from ballet school before discovering ceramics and painting.
After moving to Antwerp, she deepened her engagement with the arts, studying art history and exploring multidisciplinary practices.
It was here that she discovered photography, a medium that captivated her and became her central focus. Vera went on to complete a five-year program in photography at art school, establishing a practice that unites movement, form and visual storytelling.
STORYTELLING
For Vera, storytelling is less about narrative and more about presence. She explores the sensuality of light and image, shaping immersive worlds where intimacy and spectacle converge.
With a bold vision, she transforms photography into a universe of its own, where every work is not simply an object, but an experience. At the heart of her practice lies a fascination with transformation, desire, and the poetry of presence, each creation conceived to be not only seen, but felt, embodied, and remembered.
